Martin House to Paris Cycle Challenge

Total Raised for Martin House: £5,706.80

We Made it!  Thanks Everyone who has supported us.  I'm really pleased to say we've raised a fantatstic £4,850 for Martin House and there's a few donations still coming!  If we'd known beforehand, Chris could have got a tidy sponsorship deal going with Sudocrem to help boost the fund even more.  In total we covered 470 miles, had 3 punctures and ate more ham baguettes than we can count.

We've added some photo's of our ride on the 'Travel Album' page and a bit of a journal in the blog section.

If you haven't sponsored us yet then don't delay and sponsor today :-)  please go to:-

and, thank you everyone who has sponsored us so far!  Every single penny raised goes directly to Martin House.

As you may or may not know, my little 7 year old boy Harry passed away nearly 2 years ago having suffered a dreadful decline due to Niemann-Pick Disease, Type C.  During his illness, Martin House Childrens Hospice helped us as a family to cope and deal with both the physical day-to-day hurdles and also the struggle of dealing with the unthinkable outcome for our beautiful smiley Harry.  Their support continues today as we provide as much love and care possible for Harry's little sister, Grace who has the same condition.  The team of staff at Martin House help hundreds of poorly children, their siblings and their families in the north of England and your support is very very much appreciated x

So, our challange started on Saturday 4th August at 9.00am at Martin House and we arrived in Paris on August 9th...quite late in the evening..

We had a terrific ride.  Not surprisingly, we got sunburnt first and then soaked wet through cycling the sections to Newhaven.  Then it France we had sunshine all the way to Paris :-)
